Feeding Timer

Looking for a simple timer to shut down the circulation pumps during feeding without having to buy a $400 controller.

This could be done simply with a Normally Closed version of the spring wound timers used to control whirlpool tubs which can be purchased in any hardware store for around $30.

Has anyone seen anything like this?

Are you looking for something to automatically turn the pumps back on after feeding? If you are.... I read a post on here where you use the simple 24-hr timers that have the red (off) and green (on) pegs and you just buy extra green pegs, place them (we'll use 15 minutes as an example.. but you could use any duration you want) evey 15 minutes. When you start feeding, you rotate dial until one peg catches, then you manually turn the roller on the timer which turns the pump off. The timer will stay off until it the next green peg catches (15 min later). The timer will otherwise just spin until your next feeding since there are no red pegs to turn the pumps off.

Im sure that you could use this in reverse if need be.. just use all red pegs instead of green ones!
Mush cheaper than a whirlpool switch Im sure.

Hope this helps
