Feeding Zoanthids

Is there a way to feed Zoanthids? I have been trying to target feed them with a syringe and Phytoplankton. I don't know if this is working. Anyone have any Ideas?

i target feed mine with a mix of cyclopeez, dts phyto and dts oyster eggs. seem to be growing like weeds.

i feed mine with cyclopeez in a turkey baster alot easier than
a syringe..i also turn off my sump pump before feeding..

go to walmart and get a commercial ketchup bottle. you know the kind they refill at resurants. thats what i use they have lids on them. i just mix about enough for 2 feedings and keep in the fridge what i don't use.

Target feeding is of no benefit to zoanthus sp. They survive mainly by photosythesis and absorbing of dissolved organics. If they look like they're closing up when beeing fed its likely that they are only reacting to disturbance. The somewhat similar looking Palythoa (aka button polyps) will readily take food on the otherhand.

i don't know but i have heard that if you feed dt's that they will accpect it. jmo
