Fiji Water Temperatures

Average monthly Fiji water temperatures vary from 77 to almost 85 F. Is there any risk in implementing this curve in my seasonal water temperature table?

I don't think there is unless you make huge leaps in temps from day to day.

For instance, don't go from 77 to 85 in 1 day. Looking at the graph it seems to be pretty gradual, so I think you will be good to go.

I agree with natas; what I have always read was the any changes should happen slowly, a couple degrees over 24 hours shouldn't be a problem but I would caution about the fish you keep, especially if the high side of your curve is near 85. There are many fish and critters in in the hobby that would not tolerate the high temperature and with higher temperatures come the need for higher aeration so that sufficient O2 is available for the tank inhabitants.

One issue I would have in my system running at 85 is the margin for error if it goes up from there.......

Good point Jim. Good excuse for getting that SECOND chiller!

Thanks for the solution btw. Unfortunately apparently my probe has been dry for IDK how long and things everything tastes like 12.7 to it. I have to see if I can resurrect it.
