Hopefully this pair lasts. When we first got into the hobby about a year ago, we went through 3 occelaris with no sucess. They all died during quarantine within a week. Two of them died the first day. We're pretty sure they all died from either brook or crypt or both. Anyway, the little buggers would never eat.
We gave these two a formalin bath right away before we plopped them in the nano. They're the only guys in there other than some scarlets. And they're both really active with their dorsal fins up and their pelvic fins down (again, something the other occelaris never did) and just look good. They showed a lot of interest in the food yesterday.
They are just so cute. We've had the Clarkii's for a while (9 months, maybe?), and I do really enjoy them. But I've always wanted to have a pair of occelaris or perculas since we first got into the hobby.
Hopefully these guys make it. I think they will.
