Finally some pics (not dialup friendly)

i Know you the master in distributing flow around your tank.. Gonna needs a few pointers from you.. do you have a shot of the top layer of the tank with all your powerhead, stream, returns?

Definitely a take I aspire to. I love the superglue/epoxy idea. When you say "CA", what is that an abbreviation for? Sorry I'm slow ;).

Wow thats pretty impressive growth you have there.

if you can take a full tank shot that would be great.

also what chiller are you runing? and where is that located in relation to the tank. i think most of your equipment is in the basement right?

thanks again Joe.

Nick

P.S. do you get most of your corals from online or from locals and trading? thanks

Joe, how high are your lights off the water? And also, I see you turn your MH's on for about an hour first thing in the morning, to simulate sunrise. Any particular reason you are doing this?

Joe you have one of the best tanks I have ever seen. So I like to visit your website often and reading your logs and looking at your equipment list.

I don't have a shot of the top, it's actually not that impressive, most of my powerheads are pointed at a slight angle down so I don't get the top of the tank stirring up like crazy.

I'll see if I can take a picture tonight showing the powerheads and all. Right now I have a tunze stream (6100), two seios(820 & 620), a maxjet 1200, and 3/4" sea swirls powered by my return pump, probably 450GPH out of each sea swirl.

The lights are 8" off the water.

I like seeing the whole tank lit up when I'm getting ready to leave before work. It's also when I feed the fish in the morning. The lights come on, everyone wakes up for breakfast. :)

Cyanoacrylate, abbreviated as CA is the generic name for Superglue.

I'll see if I can get a tank shot tonight.

I am running an Aqua Logic 1/3HP Delta Star In-Line. It is plumbed into the sump located in the basement.

Once again thans for the kind words guys.

Hi Joe,

As always, very very nice mate! An excellent tank!

Some of your coral growths are phenomenal... No doubt, my favourite tank...:smokin: :smokin: :eek2: :eek2:

Are you still keeping with your amino, lugol and strontium dosing??

Looks great.

i remeber you were having some trouble with recession awhile ago, and you thought it was due to not enough current.

did you just add that maxijet and things pretty much took care of themselves?

thanks again.

Nick

very nice... can't you get to the corraline on the lower part of the tank? Have you tried that oceans motions magnet scraper? I had a similar problem because the long handled kint scraper couldn't make it down there without making frags... The OM scraper did the trick.

This is absolutely amazing!

Questions on sandbed ;)

How long have you been setting up the DSB? How do you maintain it so that it would not become a nutrition sink?

I am planning my new tank and I want to set up the sandbed correctly. Please share your experience. Thanks.
