Finger leather: on sandbed or rockwork?

I have a new ( 2 weeks) finger leather coral which came attached to a small piece of rock currently sitting on the sandbed. Would it be better to attach it to my rockwork or leave it on the sandbed?

The piece of rock it is attached to is very small so I doubt any additional fingers can grow, just the current ones would get bigger ...

The rockwork.

Once you epoxy it in place, the coral will eventually grow onto the other rocks, creating a very stable base. Given the proper lighting and a lot of random flow, it's party time. :D

mine is on the rocks. leaving my sand for future lps.

I had 1 that split so I put them in the cracks in my rock and both of the corals attached to the rock and have now slid up out of the crack and have gotten closer to the lights. Ill post a pic when the lights come on. I suggest putting that rock on the main rocks so that the leather can grow larger and multiply to the main structure.
