First clam

I am getting my first clam tomorrow a maxima 2.5".
I have a question on placement in my tank.
My lighting is 2 250 watt MH with two 55watt pc actinics.
I keep my canopy so my bulb is about 7 inches above my glass for temp reasons and I have alot of soft corals. At this height is the light enough for the clam. I have a 75 gallon tank.
