Fish and Live Rock???

Is it OK to add cured live rock to a tank without removing the fish? I recently introduced two new fish to my tank and I don't wasnt to stress them out and cause them to die. Do I need to wait a certain amout of time before I add the rock?

I am new to the hobby, but I have read many threads and I know that if you water is fully cycled with your fish, the worst thing that I think can happen is that it might go thru a small cycle. I really don't think it will be too stressful on your fish.
There are many threads posted talking about curing rock. I my self have asked the same question and Waterkeeper and Whiteshark have posted some great answers.

If your buying some fully cured live rock from your LFS and they put it in a couple of bags with water for you so that the rock stays sumerged then you'll be fine. Just don't leave your rock out of water to long because their will be a certain amount of die off and that will cause you to have a cycle...

I bought cured rock from my local "reef" store and added it to my tank with no ill effects.

The rock was out of water for approximately 40 minutes.

if the tank is well established then you shouldnt have any problem adding cured rock. Just be sure to keep an eye on your ammonia levels for a little while. Also if you want to be sure it is cured have them do a ammonia test on the rock tank water. As long as there is no ammonia then the rock should be fully cured and it really wouldnt be any different than adding rock from your own curing vat. If its cured rock that is ordered and has to be shiped in i personally wouldnt, but i have heard of it being done successfully, especially if its only small ammounts and is rinsed off in tank water before being added.

I agree. I have a 29 gallon and it was running well when I added some fully cured LR. Some of the corals retreated for a couple of days but there were no detectable issues with the fish.
