Fish compatibility

I am going to be stocking a FOWLR tank (with a few anemones) and the fish below are the ones that I am considering putting in it:

Hippo Tang
Powder Blue
2 - Maroon Clownfish or Percula Clownfish
Copperband Butterflyfish
Flame Angel
2-3 peppermint shimp

The tank is a 120 gallon oceanic (48 X 24 X 24)
40 gallon sump
Reef Octopus NW150
uv sterilizer - 18 watt
4 powerheads

What do you all think? Is this too many fish? Are they the right fish to go together.

Its a bit tight for those two tangs at max size. I'd opt for the zebrascoma genus or bristle tooth tangs

Hepatus really needs a large tank. Maroon clowns are very aggressive. You might read the Powder Blue Tang primer as they are not really "new to the hobby" fish.

I would encourage you to consider a different approach to stocking your 120. Because of it's footprint, the 120 is more of a big small tank than a truly big tank. I think it's ideal for fish in the 3-5 inch range and you could have a ton of them in there. Wrasses, blenny, dragonet, clowns, royal gramma, shrimp goby, firefish...wait, I guess I'm just reading my stock list. :) That would be my approach. Bigger fish fill up a tank of that size too quickly imo. Good luck.

I would do:

Pair of percs
Blenny
Dragonet
Royal Gramma
Trio of Flasher Wrasses
Shrimp goby/pistol shrimp
Canary wrasse
Pair of firefish if you can find them already paired

And more! :)
