A larger tang like a vlamingi would be nice, how about selling the lion and getting a school of some kind of damsels? If not a school of yellow tangs would be nice, relatively cheap.
I've always thought that there was no problem keeping Lions with elasmobranchs. The only problem is that if the shark gets curious and begins nudging the lion, it could possibly get stung and die.
only problem with chromis is ive heard horror stories about a guy watching his ray pin 3 chromis agaisnt the glass and eat them LOLLL(the chromis followed the ray around picking up scraps it kicked up)

It is possible that chromis or damsels would get snacked on here or there, but they are not that expensive to replace, and they add a lot of movement and color.
