fish habits and tank shape?

In some respects, re fish, I treat my 52 bowfront like a nano---I get bitsy fish that look downright lost in the depths (a firefish and a juvenile ywg, with ambitions for a mandarin dragonette.) But it does occur to me that because of the bow, we present a 40 inch curve, and recess quite a ways back from the front (26 inches). It seems to me that a bowfront might accommodate fish a little larger than, say, a staight-line and narrower 52: with the intake at the rear, it tends to be kind of a circular pattern for everything from flow to fish, so there aren't but two real corners. Anyway, it's just a question, not that I plan to get huge fish (they'd eat what I already have), but I was wondering whether a bowfront might actuallyhave the advantage of a bit more swimming room without meeting an edge.
