In-A-Gadda-Divita!
I inherited this fish from my Aunt who passed away a few months ago. She bought it from an art dealer in Oklahoma and is hand carved out of one piece of wood and signed DF on the bottom. I'm liking it more and more everyday, but have no clue as to what kind of marine fish it was modeled after?
Thanks!

What a cool piece of your aunt's collection to have inherited!!! You'll have it forever! It is an Auntie fish! :) LOL, jk, no clue....but it is really neat.

I like it. I don't think you will ever know 100% what fish it is. To me it looks like a stylized lubbock's wrasse or something similar.

Thanks Chad!
I didn't think to Google for the artist. I'm sending him an email with picture, will post what I find; may very well end up being an Auntie fish, certainly not a Phill fish... lol

I hope it's him. I would love to know the history behind the piece. I like his stuff...I may see how much they cost.

MOST of those guys carve modeling a fish then just color it in as they please. if i took an odd ball guess I'd say an american Flag fish (freshwater) but likely not correct.
