Fish recommendation for schooling fish

hello - I'm looking to add some sort of schooling fish to my 180. I'm looking for something similar to Green Chromis without some of the baggage such as aggression. Recently lost 3 in my 40 gallon within a week but all parameters were fine. Inverts and other fish are perfectly fine.

Anyway, any suggestions for a nice schooling fish, reef safe, that likes to inhabit the upper half of a tank? I do love green chromis but haven't had much luck keeping them.

+1 However, certain anthias species are also prone to aggression. Sometimes housing a male with 4-6 females helps to balance things out, but don't be shocked if subordinate females get bullied to death by the largest female. IME; Dispar & Ignitus are the least aggressive. Lyretails are the easiest to keep, but sometimes kill one another. Avoid deepwater species such as tuka, smithvanizi and flavoguttatus. Bimacs are larger anthias, easy to keep and would look great in a 180; unfortunately they are also one of the most aggressive anthias.
