After replying to a post regarding how to keep fish in the tank i was thinking about a design that would be nearly invisible, keep fish in the tank, and not block much if any light.
I have never need to make or use something to keep fish in my tank, as I have no jumping fish but...
I was thinking you could make a frame out of thin acrylic that would match the width of the top of your tank, maybe just 1/8 of an inch thick. You then cut in notches with a knife and superglue in fishing line across to make an invisible grid. If done tightly enough I think this could work.
It would be similar to an eggcrate guard only be much more thin and hardly visible.
