So far I have found them almost impossible to keep alive for longer than 6 months. Even with direct live phyto and Zoo feeding and near perfect tank conditions. They are very non-aggressive unless something spooks them and tend to wedge themselves under a ledge for protection.
I have 2 110 watt 50/50 URI VHO bulbs (each are 46.5 inches long) in a DIY hood w/reflector. It's a 60 gallon tank. Would that be enough lighting for an ELECTRIC FLAME SCALLOP?
Flame scallops are non-photosynthetic, but if you look at my sig, I have a good bit of lighting anyway. I have had no trouble keeping just about any SPS or clam I've tried.
