formula one/ reef prime

whats the diference between these 2? they seem to be made by the same company and the description sounds the same. i was hoping some1 who has tried them both can specify the diference for me

My fish just like prime reef better. Dunno why. Formula 1 also has a gel binder that adds a little extra nutrition, but makes it harder to break up. The gel may be the reason my fish don't like it as much.

Yes, the difference is the binder. It's supposed to keep the nutrients from dissolving into the water, and probably does. I tended to use Formula 1 for that reason, but I'm not sure how much difference it makes. Now I make my own fish food.

My percula clown seems to like the Formula 1. I feed Formula 1 only for him, although my other two fish will eat it if he doesn't get it all. He may eat some of the other (brine, other frozen), but mostly goes after the Formula 1. I haven't tried the Reef Prime.

i have been feeding the tank prime reef and formula 2. fish love them both as well as the inverts. as far as the difference i dont know if there is any. maybe email the company www.oceannutrition.com and see what they say.
