Frag? Mini-colony? Colony?

New member
What dictates whether a group of zoas is a frag or colony or a mini colony? ive seen frags for 1-15 polyps. I've seen "mini-colonies" for somewhere around 30 polyps. and i've seen colonies from 60+...

just wondering if there is some number that determines the "class" size of zoas? thanks

I think they are all loose terms with no standard definition.

Frag, short for fragment, is a piece of an object broken or cut off. I think frag is the more stable of the three terms you mention.
