So whos going and what are you biringing , I could'nt make last years swap but am this time around :strange:

Here is the info for those who have not seen it

Pre reg end Feb 15th and you will be charged $20 not $15 for entry,

we will be offering our normal 3 frags for $20 for the swap as well if you
dont have anything to swap. Its our choice not you choose corals for your
entry. We will also be supply anywhere from 50-100 frgas as well to load up
the swap. Please remember we ask for 3 frags but that doesnt mean bring just
3, if you can bring more it will allow the swap to last longer and give a
better selection of corals for participants.

RULES

"¢ Corals will be placed on tables with a family of corals (I.E. Zoas, soft
corals, LPS, SPS - sticks, SPS - plates, other)

"¢ You will receive a name tag with a group letter

"¢ letters will be called in this order: A;B:C:D;E;F;Z;Z;F;E;D;C;B;A;A...

"¢ When your group letter is called, in the first round, you will have a
few minutes to select a coral

"¢ Successive rounds will be shorter and you will be able to grab more
corals.

"¢All containers shall be labeled with the coral type, your name and
internet handle and growing conditions if they are not labeled you will be
required to label them before entry.
"¢ Any corals that are deemed unhealthy or freshly fragged will not qualify
you for the swap, it is against our mission to reward poor propagation
techniques.

Please treat all corals that you pick at the swap as if they are infected
with the worst pests known to man, dip your corals with the povidone provided
for free at the swap (if available) or your favorite coral dip. Not only does
dipping help to prevent pests from making their way into your tank, it can
help to prevent the spread of nuisance algae as well as keeping the instances
of necrosis to a minimum.

Non-Qualifying Corals

these organisms have been deemed too common in the hobby. They will be placed
on a separate table from other corals at the swap. If you only bring
non-qualifying coral that are on this list you will be restricted to only
picking from the common table for the first two rounds.

Green Star Polyp (GSP)

Brown Protopalythoa (sea mat)

Xenia

Anthelia

Encrusting Gorgonian (brown GSP)

Kenya Tree

Colt Coral

Brown Toadstool Leather

Macroalgae (California legal varieties)[/

Question if I brought some purple bonsi sps but its browned out is that ok? I mean its ok to bring sps that has browned?

I think at a swap , one would want to pick something that is healthy and colored up . Otherwise everyone would be just bringing their unwanted brown corals. Just my opinion.

Another option would be to buy from Diablo the "3 frags special" and let your sps color up for the next swap .

thanks for the message serg. i will try to make it. ive been wanting to check out the store for a while now....how do we pre-reg?

just to clarify, the flyer says $15 for pre-reg and $20 at the door.

i'll probably bring sunset monti, zoas, sympodium, green with orange clove polyps

Garvin

Hope to see you there bud

Talked w/Jesse @ diablo corals and just to be clear he said pre reg is $15 and if 3 frags needed thats an additional $15 so all together $30 package

After cut off date or starting Fed 16th ....Registration is $20 and if needed 3 frags will be $20 so all together $40 package

One thing I thought to mention is for people to make sure and bring container to hold the frags they pick from getting too cold as the temperatures in Feb are normally still pretty cold.

sounds fun. I will try to make it out. Not sure yet if I can go yet as work might not allow.

If I can go, Ill bring a bunch of good stuff. Some Pink Lemonade, red planet, Blue tenius, some nice zoas, maybe an orange yuma.

If it isnt i will bring a frag to trade you before the swap i would like some dragons breath, i was kinda wondering the same thing i have some blue ochodes but its fine i have other frags

Well looks like only 8 more days till the swap .

After looking over my corals .....I have made a list of frags I'm bringing

2 frags Forrest fire digitata
3 frags Pink Jade sps
2 frags purplish hammer
3-4 frags of Aussie gold torch
1 frag greenish acans
1 large frag 2" x 2" bloody mary monti

I will post pictures sometime next week after the long weekend .

Wip no joe the coral : )

Is this a question or you dont want me to bring any frags of Joe? :)

if you do want one,
I will have to check on the frags I have. but prefer to have them healed up more. They were probably cut 2 to 3 weeks ago.

I have lots of other things that have been healed up for some time that I will bring.

Just signed up today so Ill see you there.
