fragging gsp

I have a rock with gsp sitting on the sand by itself. one year now but it's growing a mat along the sand and getting close to one of the islands. can I just take a scissors and trim it without injuring the main rock?

Yes and you can take rubble and place it next to the main colony. It will eventually grow on to those two. That way you can give it away if people want it or sell it.

yeah, I was going to just throw it out or thinking about putting it next to the back glass to let it spread.

if you put it near the glass, i would put it near the bottom, but make sure it is off the sand by an inch or so…for some reason or other in my tank, GSP won't grow down, only up and out..so chances of it growing towards your rock are lower.
