When I moved it to another tank --- had been breaking off the tips each time I cleaned the front glass, so it has to move.

Thanks guys. I do nothing special, just dose 2 part, do weekly water changes. Also have 2*250 (( Radiums )) over my 58.

couple questions. how tall is your tank? distance from light to water? what percentage of water do you change weekly? just wondering because I'm not getting much growth and trying to pinpoint the culprit. I do understand what one thing does for one doesn't mean it will do the same for the other.

It is a 58, if memory serves it is 18" tall. The coral was about halfway up. The light fixture sits right on top of the tank.

I change 5 gallons each with --- TMPro.

This is an older pic, but gives you an idea of where the coral is (( on the left hand side, above the blue Haddoni anemone )) and where the lights are.

I think it depends on the frag. I have a birdnest and a Elkhorn Monti that grow crazy fast. They went from frags to mini colonies in a few months. But others take longer. I think 1-2 years is a good average, with a few exceptions.

Yeah I have seen results from alot of tanks, I have a red cap that wont quit in my tank, and a valida that wont grow in my tank, and a buddy has my cap that wont grow in his and the valida that wont quit!! So who knows! lol

Yeah about a year to mini colony, two to good size colonies. I have a junk no name acropora that's just kind of brown/yellow that grew from a 1" frag to a monstrosity in under a year the colony measured 14x20x16" before I gave it to some dude in the local reef club!
