Hey everyone! I'm looking for a home for a massive Snowflake Eel. It has been in captivity for at least 6 years and is about 36". It is a beautiful specimen with a bit of an attitude. Located in Syracuse. Please PM me for more information. Just looking to find this big fish a good home. :)
 
Do you have a picture? I can't take it but they're very cool fish. I've never known someone who's kept one so long; they're so skilled at getting out of a tank!

I'd also like to know what you fed it to keep it healthy so long.

Was this the Snowflake that my buddy brought into ABC a while back? Always wondered where that ended up.

It fits in your JBJ 6??? Wow. Could be a nice add for my 28!

Yes, I am joking... I am sure you have another huge tank for it.
 
When the "catch & release" happens, would you film it for YouTube. I am guessing it will be quite entertaining. Good luck.

I let a freshwater eel grow to 2' once and still have scars (mental) on getting him to a new home...

In theme with the "stupid things we've done" posts. I was in the Everglades fishing with a buddy. He caught a little 18" shark. I told him to lip it for a picture. I swear he started to do it. My scream of panic was enough to buy him five seconds to think about what he almost did. I laugh at him every time we drop a line...
