Fridge life of frozen brine shrimp

well, i had an unopened cube of frozen brine shrimp in the fridge for a couple wks. is it still good?

i just opened it and it smells reeeaally strong

I don't use anything frozen/thawed after 36 hours in the fridge... if it doesn't make it through three feedings at my house, its down the drain.

I use mysis-I'm pretty sure that its a heck of alot fattier than brine, but if you look at the water after you pour it off (I keep it in salt water in the fridge) its DISGUSTING plus, it may start to degrade, etc...

and, I think of it kinda this way: would I eat shrimp that has been sitting around in a fridge for a few days? a week... heck no!!! a day or two, leftovers, sure...

hmmm

fair enough reasoning... however, I already fed them.. haha.. they ate it up just as quick as before.

maybe it'll give them the runs?

oops!! I just realized Zeblisik said fridge, not freezer, By bad. I'm very sorry. I would toss it too. I thaw mine in a shot glass of tank water and use on the spot. Never save any of it. (never thaw more than I need either) Again, sorry.

yeah-frozen shelf life is a ton longer than fridge life...

on sites that sell mysis, its said for a year... I wouldn't go for that long (freezer burn maybe?)

I thaw out enough for a day, sometimes extra. But, I feed 2x a day.
