frogspawn skeleton falling apart

Help! I have had this frogspawn for over a year and a half it had 4 heads when I bought it and now it has 17. The problem is chunks of the "trunk" skeleton has been chipped away. At least that is what it looks like. I have never noticed this before. My two clowns have hosted it from day one. I recently about two weeks ago introduced 2 emerald crabs. Someone told me it might be those. I can't honestly say because I only noticed it yesterday.

Upon closer inspection it looks like little holes in the skeleton are brittle and possibly breaking away.

Sorry to hear, just troubleshooting, but it seems that it hasn't really grown in 1 1/2 yrs, not even doubling in size in that time. Sounds like its skeleton is malnourished. Were those always the levels? Were the bulbs changed? Just seems like it should have grown a bit more than that in that time frame, then the weak skeleton?

Hopefully somebody more experienced will chime in, don't give up, youve come to the right place!
