Frozen food in the frige?

I'm going on vacation for Christmas and I am having someone watch my tank for me, is it ok to keep some mysis shrimp that has been thawed in tank water in a sealed container in the fridge for 5 days?

I have frozen a fish food mix (white fish, mysis, vitamins, seaweed used to wrap sushi) mixed with water to a proper amount for a feeding and put it in ice cube trays. Then I have the neighbors (who know nothing about how much to feed fish) just drop the ice cube in the tank. It will slowly thaw and release the food. No overfeeding. No spoiled food in the fridge. Easy for them.

I had these little ice trays from Target that made ice about the size of those 'dots' candies. Would have been perfect to make my own frozen foods.
