It's a barb from one of the return lines... I believe this is an envision tank. I had the exact same setup, loved it. Nice price and a good tank for someone. Surprised this has not sold yet...

It is in fact a barb for the return pump. It is a sweet tank. If I did not have 2 other tanks going, I would set it up.

I am not really looking for "reef" realted trades right now. I am really starting to get back into fishing a lot. I would think about trading for a nice quality rod/ reel. Gloomis, nice shimano reels..
