FS: Dow Flakes

I was at Purity in Santa Rosa a month ago and picked up an extra bag just in case anyone in the Bay Area need some. I'm trying to clean out my garage again so it has to go. I actually want to sell 3/4 of my own bag also because I just started to use my Calcium Reactor and will not need too much of this.

$29.10 for a the full bag.
$7.30 for a 1/4 bag (I'll sell 3 of those.).

Perry is the only one who need a 1/4 bag so you could have 1 1/2 bag of it. If you need more next time, let me know. I was just in Santa Rosa today.

I hear your the master at dosing. Jason is looking for a litermeter if your selling yours. I need him to talk to you about dosing on my Qt too. when you have time.

I love my Litermeter III. That's the last equipment I would get rid of. It had worked flawlessly for me for 3 years. I only change the tubing one time since I got it. Agentsps was selling an older version of the Litermeter earlier this week. I think he wanted $150.

Jason is exaggerating but we could talk about how I've been dosing the Randy's receipe.

I do not mean to hijack your thread - but can you share how much you does with the LM3 for your particular system and and advice on how often, how much, etc.? Its not too often I get to ask a dosing guru, and I was hoping you could share what you found worked best.

Any reason you went with a Ca reactor?

Mr Mike,

I'm really not a dosing guru. I think Norm (Mr Ugly) is the one you need to talk to if you want to talk to a guru. All I did was measure my Calcium and Alkalinity for 3 consecutive days. This will give you a very good idea of how much your system is using up each day. I then add my Dow Flake solution and my baking soda solution accordingly. You could use a Litermeter to add this slowly if you add 2 more optional pump. Litermeter III could control 3 pumps. Mine is just one which I use to replace my evap water only. I chose to add mine manually since I didn't get the optional pump. The amount you add will change as you add more corals and your other coral gets bigger. I'm too lazy now and don't check my calcium and alk as often as I should. I use the tank PH as my gauge and only check if I see a abnormal PH swing. Hope that help.

I'm trying out the reactor because I have a pretty big tank and planning to get more into sps. I still intend to add my Mag part manually though.
