Up for sale is a Tunze Comline 3130 protein skimmer. It is rated for 400 - 1000 Liter aquariums (105 - 264 gal). It comes with 2 collection cups. One has a minor cosmetics blemish on the cap. Asking $95. Available for local P/U.
From what I have researched, these skimmers do not like excessive turbulence. In general a very high flow sump compartment is not recommended, the water should not be laden with bubbles or fast moving.
Tunze skimmers work consistently and they work on a passive plankton safe principle. Which means they do not destroy these organisms.
I have not actually used this skimmer. It was planned to be used as an in-display skimmer, but I broke that tank down before I implemented it. The previous RC owners swore that it worked great. I am simply looking to re-coop my expenses so I'm offering it for what I paid.
