fuge question?

i have a 45 gall, i wont to put a fuge on it, so i was comcedering a 10 gal, but i also want it as my main pump, so about 400gph will flow through it, should divert water starit to the return chamber, or let all of the water go through the fuge. and what macro algea would survive under a 175 watt ten k xm light, that is what i plan to use for my fefuge light..

If you got the space, why not bump up to a 20 gal sump/fuge? In any event I would run all the water thru. I'm flowing about that thru a 20 gal sump/fuge on a 55 and using 110watts of PC's for lighting. With the 175watt MH you'll be able to grow most any macro you want. Chaet, gracilaria, ulva, caulerpa's etc.
