I wanted to get an orange fungia for my tank becuase it's just such a cool color to have...I found this awesome one and i thought id share it becuase of how much i like it. It has yellow tentacles with little green tips. The green tips are hard to see in the photo. This picture was taken like 2 weeks ago...the tentacles are twice as long and the whole thing is twice as fleshy now. Just wanted to share :)

Beautiful cycloseris. I have two fungia repandas, a green and an orange, and they are probably my favorite pieces. I am jealous of yours, though. :)

Although I can't be sure of the species, that coral looks like a Cycloseris tenuis. Cycloseris generally has a dome-like shape and much puffier tissue than a Fungia repanda - the Fungia repanda is the more typical 'flat' plate coral, with some having longer tentacles than others. There are many other fungia and cycloseris species, but those are the two most common. Another common fungiid you might recognize is Heliofungia actiniformis, or the long-tentacled plate coral. They are all members of the Fungia family, just different genuses.
