This is the first day I have cleaned a protein skimmer in many years.
OH GOD! :fun5:
I forgot the grossness, the inhumanity, the stench!
It all came rushing back to me - all the times I cleaned those disgusting machines at accounts in three states. I used to have skimmers on all salt tanks, inverts or not.
At that time, I was under the impression they were a necessity. And with all the crud they pulled out, it seemed they were.
The one I'm now using is an ancient ASM, made about the same time the Great Pyramid was erected. Still works well - lots of black horridness down the toilet.
I guess I'll get used to it again. I now realize I WANTED to forget cleaning them!
