Gate valve for flexible tubing

Do they make gate valves for 1/2 inch flexible tubing. I want to regulate flow to at seperate sump that I am housing my skimmer. I can't seem to find this anywhere?

just need to get a threaded gate valve and use threaded barbed fittings to hook up to your flex hose.

a ball valve is usually plenty sensitive for that type of application and quite a bit cheaper if you care :)

I have not seen a barbed gate valve either, but I have seen some barbed ball valves that might work. But I would just use the thread/barb adapters like flyyyguy suggests, much easier to find.

Use a gate or a globe valve for regulating flow. They are multi-turn and easy to adjust. A ball valve is better suited to isolation and is difficult to fine-tune.

Fine flow is best regulated by gate valves, but they are quite abit more expensive than ball valves when dealing with plastic valves. For your use I would recommend just using a ball valve. For fine tuning gate valves are best. Globe valves work good but not on lines where friction losses could be an issue, i.e., return lines from pumps. Ball valves are also much worse than gate valves when it comes to the restrictive friction issue.
