About 10 years ago in woodstock il I think. Why

Just a shot in the dark actually......it looks identical (size and markings) to one of my cats. The rest of the litter that my cat was from were adopted out of a Vet's office in Joliet.....

I get bags of food from Beyond the Reef, squid, mussel, octo, and some other stuff. Sometimes i get him some fresh shrimp for the store. Gotta keep him happy or he will look elsewhere. I used to have 3 green chromis.

No there are shelled but with the talis still on. He doesnt mind. Full size shrimp gone in like 3 seconds. I hate having to be selective on what I put in the tank. I cannot have a very good clean-up crew. Have to buy cleaner snails the size of golf balls and No fish under 3 inches depending on shape. And forget any kind of cleaner shrimp or starfish. Basically I have to make sure if wont fit in his mouth and I still have to feed him before I put anything new in the tank. But he is one of the laziest fish i have

Puffers regularly need hard-shelled meals to wear down their ever-growing teeth. small live ghost shrimp and varieties of live snails that are perfect to wear down the teeth of the puffers. This doesn't have to be a daily feeding, but plan on doing it at least twice to three times a week. Living food is not as important as the crunchy shell that is on them. You will also need to plan on feeding the puffer small mollusks, shrimp, and krill with their shells on them quite often. I find that if you are feeding live clams with their shells on, crack them with a nutcracker or pliers first so the puffer will be able to get a purchase on it. All these things can be found at your local grocery store. People food is perfectly fine for your puffer, and I have never had any problem with the cheapest brands of seafood with my puffers.

Good to know. Thanks.

Hes going to get expensive when I have to toss in a whole lobster in every other day. Id have to build him a small pool. Just hope my cat would never fall in. :)

Hubby's always commenting how my puffers eat so much better than him! I freeze all the food I buy from the grocery store & then defrost in warm vitamen water.

Yep, my better half is the same way but she also talks baby talk and tickles the tank when puff swims up. Thats what we call him. (She came up with that).
