Ghetto-ridiculous frag holder

Thought I'd share. I needed to prune and had no place to put the frags.

Supplies:
- 1 pint-size strawberry container
- 2 zip-ties
- 2 binder clips (to attach to the tank frame)

Working well! Frags are happy, polyps are extended. Good flow, good light, safely away from everything else.

That's ghetto-fabulous! Cool idea! Nice looking tank too, from what I can see. You should post some more pictures.

Hey, I have a berry basket sitting on my counter. Just haven't "installed" it yet:D

Great minds thinking alike!

Thanks Fast Fred. It's getting there slowly. I'm mostly trying to keep my xenia from overwhelming everything else, and starting to explore colorful sps options using pc's, other than montipora.

If you want to stop the xenias from taking over all the realestate, you need to position the rock so that they are on a flat surface, so that they can not reattach and climb higher.

Thanks all. Yes, I learned the "hard way" that xenia should be placed where it cannot spread up much. But I do like it quite a bit, so I don't mind that it spreads. I give frags away, and trade some to an LFS in exchange for store credit. If anyone local wants, just let me know.

I need to take a new full tank shot: I'm noticing that the one above is kinda' old.

haha .. good stuff..

but.. to me.. not pleasing to the eye..

so what i did, was go to target and buy one of those plastic soap holders with the suction cups on the back.

works real nice, and sticks to the back of the tank, and only cost 2 bucks.

Nice looking tank SBJim! What is the name of the xenia in the last pic? I have some of that and just can't find it's name.

Yup, Hamilton retrofit, 192w pc. I'm using the Sunpaq 50/50 bulbs, so I guess I have 48w of each of the following:

6500
10k
460nm
420nm

If I ever have the time and energy, I plan to add a couple of t5's. But that's like fourth in the queue of projects...
