Since you drilled vertically, what did you use as a coolant and how?

Yes. The aqueons have a tempered bottom but the sides are fime. I am also using a marinelamd 55 that a friend gave me. It clearly indicates that all sides are tempered on that one however.

A local cichlid dealer I know drilled every 55 in his shop, not a single one was tempered. It wasn't a few tanks, more like 50-100.

Don't be. It really isn't hard. The thicker the glass, the easier it is to do, it just takes longer.

Here's the sound...it sounds pretty loud in the video because the phone was so close but it's quiet. The water falling into the sump is pretty bad though. Closing the valves halfway helped a bunch.
