Glasscages or Not?

Does anyone own a glasscages 240 gallon? I am very interested in purchasing an 8' tank from them but I just think its too good to be true. Everyone talks about that "guy" who had one and it broke all over his living room but really are they that bad? I would think that any tank could break.
I've heard that the silicon is not pretty, but I can scrape any excess.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
what about their stands and canopies too?

Does anyone own any aquarium from glasscages.com? They say that they sell more large aquariums than anyone else. I've received several quotes from other manufacturers for at least twice as much.
Main complaints of glasscages:
Sloppy silicon - I can clean with razor blade.

Bad customer service - I've called them a few times and never had a bad conversation but I admit that I can feel like they get tired of my questions and doubt of their product.

and then there is that one story of when "someone's" tank broke. Who knows the circumstance. I would think that anyones tank "could" break if not setup right or hit.

I'm a bit worried about their warranty 90 days. I could care less about the warranty as long as the tank never fails. Other major manufactures are 90 days, 1 year, or some 5 but only if you also buy their stand and setup according to their instructions and also not modify their tank- bulkheads. They replace the tank which is cheap compared to the contents and damage to surroundings.

i am about to buy a small sump from them, if you want to wait a week or 2 pm me and ill tell ya about it
