Going to make a pendant like some help

I am going to make a pendant like the drawing. It will be for a 75 gallong. I have one 175mh bulb now and will be adding one more. In the future I will be adding atleast one VHO bulb. My question is how wide should the top be to house the bulbs. Or how far should the mh bulb and vho bulb be apart.

with the price of Reef Optix and other pendants, I just cant see trying to build one. They have optimized reflectors and integral splash shields with UV protection (more for DE bulbs)

At the very least you should buy a good retrofit reflector and build a housing for it.

This is good advice. I've built wood pendants. The best thing you can do is get pfo parallel reflectors and moguls off marinedepot.com. That will take care of your spacing concerns.
