Good 150w MH bulbs

I'm thinking of upgrading my lighting and I'm looking at a used 150w MH/PC combo fixture. The mh bulbs need to be replaced so I'm trying to come up with a cost estimate for new 150w bulbs. I had a 150w fixture back in the day and used 14k phoenix bulbs. Looking at bulb prices online, i see the phoenix bulbs are pretty cheap and there are other bulbs that are 2 or 3 times the cost. Is there really that big a difference?

And by difference, i mean difference in quality between the cheaper and more expensive bulbs.

I have 2 150w de phoenix that are 1.5 mos old if you want both for $55 shipped to have them to compare to others you might try!

Stick with the Phoenix 14K you cant go wrong with it, it a great bulb. I have also have decent results with Coralife 14 and 20k but the 14k is to white for me and the 20k is low on PAR.

I tried both the Pheonix and the Ushio 14k and liked the Pheonix better

Stanley-Reefer, thanks, but I don't have a fixture yet, I'm just looking to see how much its going to cost me to buy the used fixture and new bulbs.
