Good Morning....Need some Advice please

Got a new 75G RR tank on Friday. I had planned to xfer my 4X65W PC's over from my 55G because of my current injury and inability to work so funds are low. I spent most of the day yesterday getting the tank setup, the Sump/Fuge, then the water and SG just right. Late afternoon I was at a point that was watching paint dry waiting for the temp to come up in the new tank. Friend called and offered me a deal on a Dual 150W HQI fixture with T5 Actinics. New in the box. Went by and checked it out while I was killing time and it seemed perfect for my needs. We made the deal and I brought them home.

I spent most of the night moving all of my Corals, Live Rock, Anemone and fish over to the new tank under Actinics only on both tanks.

Now to my question. Since all of these guys have been under 260W PC's since the first of the year (Some on top of my rocks for the best lighting) how long should I run the HQI's daily so as not to burn my friends. Or is this not a big concern because of the low wattage? My Ricordias where on top under the PC's and are now on the sand. I have mostly softies, Mushrooms and a Bubble Coral. No SPS except 2 tiny frags I was given last night by a friend.

So, How many hours a day can I run the HQI's and for how long before I can get on a regular scehdule. I ran 11HRs daylight and 12 hours Actinic on the PC's. What should my daylight hours be with these now and then on a regular basis?

If you want to you can run the same. Just use some window screen(several layers to acclimate to the new light) and remove a layer say ever week or so until the corals are acclimated tot he new brighter and better lighting. HTH

I think its probably the best way..I've always been one to just reduce the times the lights are on..I still do it when I change to new bulbs..some people have reported problems shortening the times so your best bet might be the window screens.

BTW, Are you sure you want to post on a public forum about all the rock and tanks you've been moving around seeing how the insurance companies are really cracking down on workers comp cases

LOL, I have a lifting limit of 15LBs and I don't have even one rock that weighs that much. And I didn't lift the tank. Nice to have friends to help.
