Gorgonians safely touching each other?

I know the species is large, but in general can different species of gorgonian touch each other safely, without harm?

What usually happens is the polyps close up - and won't open until the cause (ie other gorg or coral) is removed. Alot depends on what species you have, but IME gorgs rebound quickly if stung or irritated and will return to normal if a day or two.
