Got whacked....

I'm sure glad he's so little. Thought I was being careful, pulling up algae. For such a little guy (Oerstedi) my finger still got a little numb! Good thing he's cute!

I can't see your picture. He's only about 2 1/2" I've had him well over a year, so I'm not expecting him to get bigger. Your picture just showed up. Pretty!

I'll try to get some better shots over the coming days.

When I first got him in the tank he did a little bit of swimming and the entire bottom is a very deep red just like the tail... Very pretty looking!

I had my camera at the tank earlier and he came rushing towards it. I backed away afraid he might want to attack and i don't want that since he's in a glass tank right now.

Beautiful red! And Debi, I can't get over the purple on yours. Very cool.

I've taken a hit from Gator on purpose to experience it and I still jumped when he struck. I can't imagine getting whacked by surprise. I'd probably hit the ceiling.
