Hi

check them out.I have used them a few times always great.I am going to once again for the new tank.Great service and if you get the tang heaven you can grow it your self

Lots of critters for your sand bed also

we should add the link to the nora page

Seriously though, I plan to get some tang heaven later in the spring.... It's supposed to be good stuf and easy to grow:cool:

I read that it was difficult to grow. That it needed a lot of current. Let me know how it works out. I may order some and try my hand at growing it.

I'm pretty sure somebody here had it growing out the wazoo and ended up giving it to PSP when nobody wanted it...

that would be me, but I gave it to Gary's. unfortunately I killed it because it was in my mini-fuge at the time and got so crammed in it couldn't get enough light. i really wish I had room and the right flow for it in my new fuge because my fish LOVED it. it is also mega healthy for them. not only the tang but the clown also ate it.

they sell several types, but i would go with the red gracilaria

tips, it needs a decent amount of light, it needs good flow, but not strong, the type of flow you give to cheato will shred the stuff.

it is also not as fast growing as cheato and probaly wouldn't work as great for nutrient export, but pods thrived well in this and the ulva as well.

speaking of which, when I got my order from them I got a TON of dried ulva, which tangs are supposed to love and is really good for them, but mine won't touch it, so if anyone wants a bunch of it for free just let me know.

I got that from him and promptly killed it.

it wasn't doing great when i took it up there though, it had all been crammed in my little hang-on fuge.

the ulva macro? I guess it is probably similar to nori. it is a sheet-like algea sun-dried, looks a lot like mary-jane in the bag actually, it is not exactly the same as say, the sheets you get at the store, it is not compressed together, it is actually that way naturally. I have a bag the size of a pillow full of it.

was someone going to order some of the gracilaria from them? If anyone does let me know, I would love to get in on the order with you...I want to start a copepod and algea grow tank and I would love to get some for the tank, but it is the shipping that really kills you when you order from them...if shipping was split between more than one person the price is a steal

I'm interested in a group buy for this stuff-- but only if I get my fuge installed before the order--- which should be sometime between now and never (3 kids keep me very busy)--

I need to wire in a new circuit before I install the fuge (for my MH lights)-- outlet will be behind the fuge so I need to do it before for access--

Still waiting for my hole saw to come as my fuge will need to be drilled-- how long does a shipment form Hong Kong take-- been 10 days so far.
