I got one and was planning to test it tommorrow. I'll let you know how I like it.
THX Andrea!

So, am I missing something or is this just an even uglier Koralia? I suppose it's fine for folks who already own Maxi-Jets.

yup lots of people have MJ's
plus this sokers are exactly as advertised. Korallias on steroids.

i think the best thing is that it looks easy to assemble. Andrea let us know how it goes please. This may be a cool group buy if we can get some heads in on it.

it may give off a little more gph but i dont think it can possibly have as broad a flow as a koralia

Its only 20 bucks! seems like its worth a try.

Yeah, but read carefully. It doesn't include the Sure-Grip magnet, just the adapter. So if you don't already have the magnet, it's an additional $25-$35.

BTW, I have a spare SG Magnet if anyone needs one, $20.

I can just start by saying that all is possible. The mjmods have tons more flow and better flow than Korallias.

U don't need the magnet as I can use the regular mj plastic hanger.

Are you sure? It looks like the bracket for the mod is designed specifically to slip over the top of the SG. That is, if you want to be able to position it at an angle like the Ks.

it slides right into the same mounting bracket as the suction cups. I ordered one for twenty bucks i'll give it a try. we'll see what happens.

Pedro look like it slide right into the back bracket of the MJ's
basically u get 1600-maybe 2000 gph for 20 bucks(plus the cost of your MJ- I have like 6 al over the place LOL)

Sounds to me like this is a great idea and cost effective for those a lil strapped for mula.

Pedro I did about 5 mjmods(1200) DIY and some came out good some not that good. I think some are still being used by fellow reefers(Perhaps Jeff can chime in). The fact that the MJmods are DIY leaves a lot to be deisred in terms of quality and so forth( I'm not as good as I thought i was when I started doing them LOL)

Anyways this is manufactured and possibly all the kinks are beinf dealt with.

K's are useful and pretty darn good as I also tried them. This in IMO is another option

I've tried pretty much all Ph's (except vortech) As i now run5 tunzes in my tank and by far they are the best in the biss(IMHO) but pricey!

i have a feeling though that if it does push this much water it may need the magnetic holder. The suction cups may not hold up.
