Great solution to your flow problems HEADS UP!

i was reading in the "DIY" forum that they are shutting down www.mjmods.com, because the sureflow setup looks so much easier and cheaper. It would not be worth their time to try and compete building it themselves.

BTW, I have a spare SG Magnet if anyone needs one, $20.

Pedro, I'd be happy to take that off your hands when you get the RBTA from me. Do you still have the Tunze mount for it?

I will wait until there are several reviews on them, but on the surface it looks real nice. In my case I have a Reefkeeper 2 that works GREAT with MJ 1200 so 2 of these @ 1600gph and i have all the flow i need for a 90g. Yes, i want, in the next year to buy 2 Tunze 6055's Nanostream and a 7095 controller but that is $646.00 so it will have to wait. And like gasman says i already have a MJ 1200.

Speckled Grouper, lets us know, thanks

I think some are still being used by fellow reefers(Perhaps Jeff can chime in).

I've tried pretty much all Ph's (except vortech) As i now run5 tunzes in my tank and by far they are the best in the biss(IMHO) but pricey!

I'm still not running the MJ mod, other than playing around with it after I got it from you. My frag tank plans were delayed. :(

I'm 100% on the Tunze bandwagon as well. Mark at Reef's Edge put me in touch with a friend who was getting rid of a wavebox, four 6100s, and a pair of multi controllers, and I was able to buy them for a song. This is in addition to the pair of 6100s that I already have in the tank. In the near future, I'll be running 4 6100s plus the wavebox. I may consider running all 6 6100s, if I can figure out where to place them. Or, I might even put one in the frag tank once it's up and running.

Jeff,
I have all the adapters (4) that came with the unit. It's clean, I just drilled a hole through one of the adapters (probably the MJ :)) to fit a different PW I had, but it's not enough to weaken the mount.

Actually, I'd be into doing the deal today if you are available. PM me your contact info.

I like it !!!
Putting it together takes 2 seconds. It gives a nice broad, but very strong flow. I had two Maxijets in the tank, now I'm just using the SF 1600

very cool, so it is worth the twenty bucks. I ordered one yesterday hope it works well for me also.

i got mine, unlike they advertised it does not work w/ the bracket that comes w/ mj1200 right off the bat. I did superglue the bracket that to the mj bracket and it is working so far.

The flow is nice and widespread and works well.

Have any of you folks that have the SureFlow mod used it on a wavemaker (like a Red Sea Wavemaster Pro)? If it's true that Maxi Jets spin in opposite directions after each startup, I would think that it wouldn't be possible to use in this manner.

It is true that they spin randomly each time they start. The thing with these prop mods is that they include a stopper on the shaft so it can only spin in one direction, nullifying that problem. At least that's how they were doing it with the DIY propmods if I remember correctly.

i've been doing a lot of research on these...if you're going to use them on a wavetimer i would get the ecomod which just came out. basically same thing but the stopper is a little diffarent. Less likely to ware down after on off on off operation. only thing is thay don't have the cool mod. I'm using mine in the wavebox and its working awesome so far. timer comes in friday and the wavebox will be complete and i'll make a thread for it with pictures.
