Green Candy Coral, Not Opening All The Way( Picture )

Hey guys,

Well I got a new green candy coral 4 days ago, and it seems to be doing ok. I put it in the middle of the tank, and it puffed up great the first couple of days. Now the polyps on the right side are not as large. 4 out of the 12 polyps are doing this, and the rest are puffed up great. I dont know it these polyps just need to get used to the new flow of the tank, or if these are just getting more light than they like. I read they like moderate light and low flow, and they are in moderate - high light, with moderate flow. The polyps move around alittle, but its not a high flow area. I know it will take a couple of weeks for the coral to fully acclamate to my tank, but I just wanted to know what you guys thought about the spot I put it in. There is not much talk here for these guys. Thanks for your time,

Michael

might be in a high flow area they dont like a lot of flow. might wanna move it, thats what i did to mine to fix it. it could be othe things like calcium.

mine are in a high flow area and always puff up. perhaps it's because the ones that are somewhat deflated are on the bottom of the collony and arn't getting enough light.

well it been a week, and its opened up all the way now. it just had to acclamate. i knew i jumped the gun here, lol
