Green Gonipora

I'm getting a green gonipora today. I would like to know the best placement in the tank as far as flow and light. I am also wanting to put in next to my wall hammer. Would they be ok next to each other?

Thanks for the help jerk! I DID do research but often see conflicting info, that is why I posted the question...

This is where we research and learn. Am I wrong. Snapping at people does not help this person care for there coral. As a mater of fact it hinders it because you just wasted there time and space on these boards with a worthless meaningless post that did not help in any way. If you do not know anything about them or the care of them just say so. If you do then say something constructive to help them. Maybe they will be one of the lucky ones and this coral will thrive in there piece of the reef.

Howdy catfisher, Try placing the goni about halfway up from the bottom with alternating or "chaotic" flow. I would try to keep it as far away from any other corals but other goni's would be okay.
You will soon find out that the flow and placement will determine the success of this coral. I have been fortunate enough to have been successful with goniopora, I do not target feed any of my corals but I do dose the whole system on occassion with phytoplancton and baby brine. I do believe that the feedings are above and beyond because I have had this one goni for a lot longer than I have had my planckton reactors. This is the six year old goni I'm speaking of. Also, if a user makes negative comment as above, just check and see if they have a Reef Central gallery to back them up Good luck! TinMan

Thats a beautiful goni there LU359TINMAN. I found a nice red and pink one at a private Fish store and was wanting to buy it. Might have to go back next weekend and get it if its not gone.

I've got two about 20 inches from a 250w P14 bulb and feed them frozen cyclopeze, spirulina powder, Selcon, Flake food slurry once a week

It looks really good so far, I even saw it eat the other night. I will try to post some pics tonight. It is a really unusual color. It is mostly purple with bright green tips on the tentacles. I was told it was a "green" goniopora but I wonder if it really is...

I have 2 Goniporias. One my sand bed and it is doing well. The larger one is half way up on and it's fine too.

Since it's a delicate coral don't blast it with too much light at first.

And also dont have direct water flow, no jet stream pump directed at it!
