Green hairy mushrooms/clowns

Will clowns take to hairy mushrooms similalrly to the way they do with certain anemones? I thought I read that somewhere. Any experiences? Thanks

Some do, some don't. Not the answer you want to hear I'm sure :D There is really no way to predict what a clown will take to. I've seen tanks filled with anemones and the clownfish goes to the powerhead as it's host. Then a tank filled with soft fluffy mushrooms and they go to the clump of hair algae.

They can go to the mushroom of course, but there is no guarantee.

my female perc hosts my hairy shrooms. she even chases off the coral beauty if it gets too close to the shrooms. here's a pic of her hosting the shrooms.

My pair of Onyx clowns used to host in Hairy Mushrooms as well until I purchased them a RBTA.
