Green Mandarin

I brought a green mandarin about a year ago after my buddy went threw 3 of them and just couldn't keep one alive. I guess my tank has copods or whatever mandarins eat because my little guys still going. Yesterday he surprized me when I feed the tank pellets he ate the pellets. So now he's eating prepared foods. I guess I got lucky and picked up a good one.

The general rule of thumb I recall was minimum 40 Gallon, well established, full pod population, and no significant competing pod eater unless the tank is significantly larger. I have had my Mandarin for a few years, he's doing great in my 140G, but even at that size I won't put in a second dragonnette.
