green star polyp growing slow

I've had my green star polyp for a year now and its not growing at the pace I would like. It was the size of a golfball when I purchased it, now its about a baseball. Lights are on 10 hours a day and all levels are good, I thought these things grow like crazy.

I've heard many different theories on this. i don't know the answer but would like to hear it. I've tried these and had them fail while other things in my tank are flourishing.

I, too, am following along. Mine hasn't grown at all in three years, and here recently it started receding.... weird....everything else in the tank has grown a lot.

Mine grows much faster near the light and higher flow. I have two patches. One a few inches bwl and other is almost on the sand with much less flow.

Yea they are the one thing I wish I had never put in my tank! Any ideas on how to get rid of them or at least stop them from spreading?

I love them, very pretty when a flow is directed towards them. Just yank up the mats I guess.
