Group Clam Buy

Hey everyone, I would like to see if anybody would like to get in on a group clam buy. I have access to a place where we can get ultra grade crocea clams for $40.00 each. The clams are 3-4 inches and in fantastic shape. We might even be able to get them a little cheaper than the $40.00. The clams are of all different colors and the buy would go as such. You place your order for X ammount of clams and you give me the money, I will get the clams ordered and with in 3 days of placing the order you would come and get your clams. Due to the fact that I am not rich I will need your money before I can order the clams. When all the money is in, the order will go out. There is no limit to how many clams you can order either, so if you want 5 then you can order 5. Let me know if anyone is interested in getting in on this buy. I think $40.00 for a clam is a good price, or maybe that's just me.

There will be no other charge but the $40.00 they will be shipped to a local spot that I have chosen. I am trying to get pics from the guy and I will post them soon as I get them.

ive seen deals for 5 maximas for 99.00 plus 45 shipping. That works out to about 29 dollars per clam. Also, they are 1-2" across. let me know if anyone is interested in them.

I posted that the clams are ultra grade croceas and they are 3" to 4". The $40.00 each is cheaper than where I have looked. If you buy them on line at this price (from what I have seen) you are paying for a 1" to 2" clam. These clams are 3" to 4" for $40.00 bucks.

I would like to try and get 50 clam orders so we can get the good price. I was told tonight that we might get a lower price yet. I am still working on getting pics.

Bloop, whats with the secrecy man? Is there some problem with you telling us where you found this deal???? If its a matter of fearing of advertising for the company, I dont think its an issue unless your just simply saying such and such is having a sale. But if you intend on doing an order, I dont see anything wrong.

Also $40 seems pretty normal cost to me. Hell Sam sells them for $40 all the time. So does Fishin Times. Though I really dont know what "ultra grade" means. I would definatly like to see an example of what we should expect to get. If its similar to the pics Brad posted, I think I would certainly be interested as well!

Ok, I didn't think I had secrecy going. I thought I posted the source, I talked with people at the meeting today about the clam buy. I am not hiding a source or fearing advertising flame. The deal is coming from a clam source through Guy over at Mad Reefer. Of course now that this info is posted everybody will pull out and start flaming this clam buy. I just thought it was a good deal for 3-4 inch clams. Like I said before I have looked on line and the only thing that is close to $40.00 is a 1-2 inch clam. Maybe I am just looking at the wrong sites. Clamsdirect, drsfostersmith, coraldynamics, seacrop and all the others I looked at have their cheapest clams at $49.00 for a 1-2 inch grade two clam. But this is what I get for posting a thread for a group buy without pics. I am working on getting pics.

What makes you think we will all back out because its TMR??? I dont think anyone here has anything against TMR really. Just in the past his prices were pretty high. Given he matches online pricing, I think that is a thing of the past now. My only concern with TMR is that they claim they can get all this stuff, but they often dont get in what they expect to when they make orders. Perhaps he has found more reliable sources, but I wouldnt count on getting 50 clams if he orders 50 clams. I doubt he can provide us with any real pictures either :(. He has said himself that when he orders, he often has no idea what things will really look like until they actually arrive. Either way, if he can get true ultra grade clams for that price and size, its definatly worth checking into.

as long as they are pretty and cheap, i don't care where they come from. BTW, i was in Bloomington a couple weeks ago. Looked TMR up in the phonebook, and he wasn't there. Where can i find his address.
