Growth on CandyCane

I just got a small candycane and notices something imbedded in one of the polyps. I looked closer and it pulses all the time. Not sure if this could be a xenia or if they can imbed themselves in other corals. Anyone know what this is or if it is bad. Should I try and removed it (I'm sure I'll destroy the candycane)? Hopefully you can see it in the picture. It is on the right side.

Thanks for your help

Kind of looks like a fan from the picture. Tough to tell. If so, should be ok.

Thanks! I think your right. The closer I look at it, it looks like it is actually closing and opening, not pulsing (it's in an awkward spot where I can't see the base of it) . I have other random tube worms that have grown in my tank, but I have never seen one open and close so often.

Hard to tell from the picture, but it possibly could be aptasia. Need a better pic.
